Kolkata, India. 4 June, 2025: “Material as Metaphor - A Dialogue of Art Forms” unfolds at the National Gallery of Modern Art, housed in the restored Old Currency Building. Curated by Sayantan Maitra Boka and executed by the Basu Foundation, the exhibition features 240 works by 53 artists across three levels. Showcasing prints, textiles, photography, sculpture, painting, video, and sound, it bridges Indian tradition and modernity. Opened on 20 May 2025, the show is likely to continue for two months, offering a rich dialogue of evolving art forms.
