June 12, 2025, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India: Rescue officials working at the site where Air India flight 171 crashed in a residential area near the airport in Ahmedabad Thursday. More than 200 people were killed when an Air India plane bound for London, carrying 242 passengers, crew members, and pilots, crashed minutes after taking off from the western city of Ahmedabad. Authorities said this was the world's worst aviation disaster in a decade. At least one person is known to have survived in lucky seat 11A.
