Ipolytarnóc, 2015. augusztus 1.Seven million-year-old tree trunks in the museum of the Ipolytarnóc Fossils Nature Reserve. The natural wonders of Hungary. Units unique in the world were found in 2007 in the area of the Bükkábrány lignite mine. Nowhere in the world has such an old group of trees surviving in a wooden condition and preserving the forest structure. To the right is the first stem of a Glyptostroboxylon (coastal mammoth pine), the rest of the Taxodioxylon (swamp cypress).Hét millió éves fatörzsek az ipolytarnóci Ősmaradványok Természetvédelmi Területének múzeumában. Magyarország természeti csodái. A világviszonylatban is egyedülálló leletekre 2007-ben bukkantak a bükkábrányi lignitbánya területén. Sehol a világon nem került még elő ilyen idős, faállapotban megmaradt és az erdőszerkezetet is megőrző facsoport. Jobbra az első törzscsonk egy Glyptostroboxylon (tengerparti mamutfenyő), a többi Taxodioxylon (mocsári ciprus).
