Sümeg, 2013. május 5.Sümeg houses and Sümeg castle. The castle dates back to the 13th century, it was reconstructed from 1957. The castle in the best condition in the country. The castle stands on top of a conical lower Cretaceous limestone hill at 270 meters above sea level, rising from an average altitude of 180-200 meters above sea level in the city. Its floor plan is a polygonal, north-south, 125-meter-long and 80-meter-wide residential tower with an inner tower, surrounded by a steep hillside with a “crab castle” extending to the side.Sümegi házak és a sümegi vár. A vár a XIII. sz-ból származik, 1957-től rekonstruálták. Az ország legjobb állapotban lévő vára. A vár egy kúp alakú alsó krétai korú mészkőhegy tetején áll a tengerszint fölött 270 méter magasságban, a város átlagosan 180-200 méteres tengerszint feletti magasságából kiemelkedve. Alaprajza sokszögű, észak-dél irányában elhúzódó, 125 méter hosszú és 80 méter szélességű, belsőtornyos lakóvár, meredek hegyoldallal körítve, az oldalra lenyúló „tarisznyavárral”.
