Firenze, 2014. október 7.The top of Giotto's bell tower. The master, Giotto di Bondone, began construction of the tower in 1334 and completed the first level by the time of his death. From 1337, his student Andrea Pisano continued the construction and added two more levels. From 1348, Francesco Talenti continued the construction and completed it in 1359. Giotto's tower is an outstanding masterpiece of Gothic architecture. It is made of white, red and green marble. It is 84.75 m high and has 416 steps leading to the top, from where there is a magnificent view of Florence.Giotto harangtornyának teteje. A mester, Giotto di Bondone 1334-ben fogott hozzá a torony felépítéséhez, és haláláig az első szintig jutott el. 1337-től tanítványa, Andrea Pisano folytatta az építést, és további két szintet készített el. 1348-tól Francesco Talenti építette tovább, és fejezte be 1359-ben.
