Pisa, 2014. október 8.The tower above the entrance to Pisa's Camposanto (cemetery) in the Square of Miracles. The Camposanto was built between 1278-1464 according to the plans of Giovanni di Simone in the Gothic style. The outer wall of the monumental building in the form of a monastery is flanked by 43 blind arches and has two doors. It was built on soil transported here from the Holy Land by ship during the Third Crusade (12th century). Galileo's Pendulum of Gelilei, which he used to measure the movement of the Earth, is located in Aulla's chapel, originally in the Pisa Cathedral.A pisai Camposanto (temető) bejárat feletti tornya a Csodák terén. A Camposantót 1278-1464 között építették Giovanni di Simone tervei szerint gót stílusban. A kolostor formájú monumentális építmény külső falát 43 vak boltív szegélyezi és két ajtaja van. A Szentföldről a harmadik keresztes hadjárat idején (XII. sz.) hajón ide szállított földre épült. Aulla kápolnájában található Galileo Gelilei ingája, mellyel a Föld mozgását mérte, eredetileg a pisai dómban.
