Erfurt, Germany. 12th June, 2025. Several thousand sequins glitter high between the houses of the Krämerbrücke. The art installation celebrating the 700th anniversary of the historic and inhabited landmark is intended to depict its invisible architectural elements. The colors of the sequins show what is underneath the bridge: silver and blue refer to arches under which water flows. Gold indicates the bridge sections that stand on solid ground. The stone architecture of the bridge dates back to 1325. Credit: Hendrik Schmidt/dpa/Alamy Live News
