Peziza vesiculosa is a cup fungus species documented in nineteenth-century European mycological literature. Richard Cresswell (1815–1882) was an English clergyman and amateur mycologist who assembled illustrated fungal studies later preserved by the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. The archival image documents a photographic reproduction of an 1872 annotated watercolour and ink illustration identified by curator Miss Aviolet.
