Boletus pachypus is a bolete fungus recorded in 19th century taxonomy and included in the Cresswell Collection formed by Reverend Richard Cresswell (1815–1882), an English cleric and collector of natural history material. The archival image reproduces a watercolour, pen and ink drawing dated 1870, annotated by Miss Aviolet and marked with a CRESSWELL COLLECTION Museum stamp.
