Apollo Lunar Module mockup was a full-scale simulator used during the Apollo program for training astronauts in lunar descent and landing procedures between 1969 and 1972. The archival image documents the cockpit interior where two astronauts stood to control descent using sixteen attitude rockets and a throttleable descent engine; the mockup was transferred from Grumman Aerospace to the National Air and Space Museum in 1975.
