Nation to Nation Treaty Exhibit in Washington DC | WASHINGTON — A circular gallery displays the "Great Nations Keep Their Word" exhibition at the National Museum of the American Indian, part of the Smithsonian Institution, in early October 2026. The exhibition occupies a central hall of the museum's Mall building on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. A purple-and-white woven ring, suspended from the ceiling, evokes a wampum belt above panels covering the 1978 Indian Child Welfare Act, the 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and the 20th-century "Salmon Wars" over Pacific Northwest treaty fish
