MV-22B Osprey is a twin-engine tiltrotor aircraft used by the United States Marine Corps for assault support operations. On June 17, 2017, a crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced) fired an M240G 7.62×51mm NATO medium machine gun from the rear exit during aerial gunnery training while embarked aboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6). The archival photograph documents live-fire training in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
