Bildnummer: 55007480  Datum: 17.05.2006  Copyright: imago/Horst GaluschkaAnita Lasker-Wallfisch ist eine der letzten bekannten ?berlebenden des  M?dchenorchesters  von Auschwitz. 1943 war die Tochter eines j?dischen Anwalts in das Konzentrationslager deportiert und dort in die Lagerkapelle aufgenommen wordenAnita Lasker wurde 1925 als dritte Tochter einer j?dischen Anwaltsfamilie in Breslau geboren. Den Eltern gelang es, die ?lteste Schwester nach England in Sicherheit zu bringen. Die j?ngeren, Renate und Anita, mussten in Breslau bleiben. 1942 wurden die Eltern deportiert und ermordet. Die Schwestern kamen in ein Waisenhaus und wurden zur Zwangsarbeit in einer Papierfabrik verpflichtet. Dort f?lschten sie Urlaubsscheine f?r franz?sische Zwangsarbeiter, sp?ter auch f?r sich selbst. Doch die geplante Flucht misslang. Die M?dchen wurden verhaftet. 1943 kamen sie getrennt voneinander nach Auschwitz, wo sie sich durch Zufall wiederfanden. Dass Anita als Cellistin im Lagerorchester spielte, rettete ihr und der Schwester das Leben. Ende 1944 wurden beide nach Bergen-Belsen transportiert und schlie?lich von den englischen Truppen befreit. Anita Lasker-Wallfisch ging nach England, wo sie das Londoner English Chamber Orchestra mitbegr?ndete. Sie heiratete und bekam zwei Kinder.
