France, Hauts-de-France region, Somme department, Amiens, the Horloge Dewailly (clock), place Marie-Sans-Chemise, rue des Sergents. Recent reconstruction of the clock erected in 1896 by the architect Emile Ricquier on Place Gambetta. In 1940, the statue was dismantled and taken out of the way to protect it from the bombardments. The column that remained in place was found well after the war, in a wasteland, dislocated and rusting. Only the statue by sculptor Albert Roze is original. The new clock was built identically by architect François Vasselle and inaugurated on 31 December 1999. No use-stock-foto

No use for postcards. c-stock-foto
