01 April 2026, Saxony, Leipzig: Horticulturists and construction workers walk over the Sellerhäuser Viaduct next to freshly planted trees. The former railroad bridge, which is over 100 years old, will be planted with 50 trees by mid-April as part of the "Parkbogen Ost". Over the next few years, around 1.5 kilometers of former railroad line will be used to create a green ridge in the east of Leipzig, which will be connected and networked with the residential areas and allotments.
