L'anneau qu'il tient a la main est le rubis de Bourgogne achete par Philippe le Hardi en 1397, qui etait conserve a l'abbaye de Saint Benigne a Dijon et remis par l'abbe a tout nouveau duc prenant possession du duche de Bourgogne.
