An 18th century view of the Physic Garden at Oxford University, Now the oldest botanic garden in Britain and one of the oldest   gardens of its kind in the world . It now forms the Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum, UK. It was founded in 1621 as a garden in which plants were grown for medicinal purposes.
