Strausberg, Germany. 29th July, 2025. A cable ferry crosses the Straussee. The electrically operated passenger cable ferry has connected the urban area in the east with the forest area 'Jenseits des Sees' on the western shore since 1894. As a technical monument, it has since become a tourist attraction in Strausberg. The ferry operates all year round under route number 39 and is a good starting point for hikes through the forest and around the Straussee.
