Sound will be broadcast through restored 1950s wooden analogue Western Electric/Bell Labs speakers originally designed for cinemas. Doig says: “Music has often influenced his painting. Songs can be very visual”. There will be Sound Sundays when musicians , including Brian Eno, and Linton Kwesi Johnson will share chosen music to audiences live in the space.
