PRODUCTION - 29 July 2025, Hesse, Riedstadt: Holger Schanz, head of the specialist group for nature, landscape, forest, water and climate in Riedstadt, uses the 'Karl Spengler Oak', which has been poisoned with herbicide, to show how far a thin branch can penetrate the deliberately drilled hole. The herbicide was applied to the borehole in the root area. Reports of poisoned trees in Hesse have been appearing regularly for weeks. Now there are new cases in southern Hesse.
