HS2 are continuing work on the Wendover Green Tunnel in Wendover, Buckinghamshire for the HS2 High Speed Rail from London to Birmingham. The Wendover Green Tunnel made from steel reinforced tunnel segements, will stretch for about 1 mile (1.4 km) past the town alongside the existing railway and A413 road. As one of five cut-and-cover, or green tunnels, on the route. These shallow tunnels are built on the surface before being buried and will have plants and trees planted on top of the tunnel.
