Prince Napoléon-Jérôme Bonaparte (1822-1891), usually called Jérôme Bonaparte, Napoléon-Jérôme Bonaparte or Plon Plon. French politician. In January 1883, the Prince published a manifesto that earned him imprisonment in the Conciergerie. He was released after twenty-six days of detention, thanks to the intervention of the Empress Eugénie, who traveled to Paris to mediate his release. The was the first clerk of the Court of Halifax County. The was also a colonel of the colonial militia and a member of the provincial congress.
