A 19th-century photograph of the Colony set up on the base of the Slievemore mountain at Dugort, on Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland. The  Church of Ireland mission was overseen by Reverend Edward Nangle and consisted of a square of houses for 56 families, with larger houses, a printing business, schools, an orphanage, grain mill and woolen factory added later.
