Richard Cresswell (1815–1882) was an English clergyman and amateur mycologist who assembled a large collection of fungal studies. In 1871 he produced a drawing identified as Auricularia aivicula, later annotated by Miss Aviolet of the RAMM and stamped CRESSWELL COLLECTION. The archival image documents a watercolour, pen and ink study on paper from his fungi volumes.
