Edgbaston, Birmingham May 25th 2026. Temperatures hit almost 70 Degree Celsius in a parked car in Birmingham on Bank Holiday Monday. The digital thermometer, left in a blue Kia Rio, read 69.9 Degree Celsius whilst parked in the Edgbaston area of the city. It was only possible to sit inside the vehicle, which is lined with dark leather seats, due to the wooden beaded seat cover. Outside temperatures are expected to hit 34 degrees by the middle of the afternoon in the Midlands city. Other temperatures ranged upwards from 69 degrees inside the sweltering car.
