A lithograph depicting Pharaoh Ménephtha I on his chariot, leading two lines of Asian prisoners towards a river inhabited by crocodiles, identified as the Nile. A bridge, closed at both ends, allows for passage. Various buildings can be seen on the opposite bank of the river. The artwork is attributed to the Palais de Ménephtha Premier in Karnak, Thebes, and was published by Firmin Didot frères in Paris between 1835 and 1845-stock-foto

Erfurt, Germany. 12th June, 2025. View of the historic Krämerbrücke. An art installation commemorating the 700th anniversary of the historic and inhabited landmark is intended to depict its invisible architectural elements. The colors of thousands of sequins on the bridge show what is underneath: silver and blue refer to arches under which water flows. Gold indicates the bridge sections that stand on solid ground. The stone architecture of the bridge dates back to 1325. Credit: Hendrik Schmidt/dpa/Alamy Live News-stock-foto
